When many people picture an elopement, they imagine the Little White Wedding Chapel or other venues in Las Vegas, NV. While a spontaneous trip to the Strip can be exciting, it's not the perfect fit for every couple. The good news? You don't have to travel across the country to find a beautiful place to say "I do." Pennsylvania is home to countless charming chapels, scenic mountain overlooks, and historic estates that are perfect for elopements and intimate micro weddings. Here are just a few of our favorite Pennsylvania elopement venues to inspire your special day!

Promise Ridge, Strausburg, PA

Promise Ridge is tucked in the Pennsylvania mountains is Alisa Tongg’s house. In her home, Alisa Tongg has created 2 beautiful spaces for your ceremony both overlooking the beautiful Pocono mountains. Ceremonies usually take place out on the ridge but, if it rains Tongg has created a pavilion for the wedding to take place under. Since this is her family home, each couple has a total of 20 guests and in total about 4-4.5 hours. Alisa Tongg is recognized for being a premier provider of elopements and microweddings by The New York Times, Brides Magazine, and others. She masters intimate and elegant natural space perfect for your Pennsylvania microwedding or elopement.

Moonstone Manor, Elizabethtown, PA

Moonstone Manor is a historic manor house in the Lancaster area that is a gorgeous choice for your elopement. Couples can choose from 4 areas around the manor that are Creekside, the Grist Mill Stone Ruins, Gazebo, or the covered Woodland Pavillion. Each elopement is 2 hours and up to 10 guests. One of our favorite aspects of this venue is that the house also holds a bed and breakfast, If you and your guests want you can book to stay overnight and continue to enjoy the beautiful house manor.

Vaux Studio, Philadelphia, PA

Vaux Studio is a microwedding studio in the heart of historic Philadelphia. Monica Welsh and Chanel Friscia truly created an elegant space for any couple to get married in. The brownstone building is chic and elegant with checkered and hard wood floors throughout the venue. This is a great option for couples looking for a more contemporary and urban space. Elopements and microweddings can have up to 25 guests depending on the ceremony of your choice. The location of Vaux Studio also makes for easy post ceremony plans.

The Lodge at Water's Edge, Portersville, PA

Water’s Edge is an estate along Slippery Rock Creek in Western Pennsylvania. It is characterized as a scenic micro event venue where couples can slow down and reconnect with themselves and others. Elopements can hold up to 25 guests and microweddings can hold 25 to 85 in this rustic estate. The surrounding area of Lawrence County holds small towns and activities such as hiking, biking, and kayaking. Couples looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and metropolitan areas or those who love spending time in the great outdoors, this could be a great choice for you!

Gather, Pittsburgh, PA

Gather is a city venue 15 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh with a riverfront view. The venue is known to be easy to get to for local and non-local guests and couples. This hall can hold 50 people max inside or an additional 20-25 if the outside space is used. Gather is a completely versatile space meant for your personality to shine through. The blank space provides the freedom to choose every single detail of your ceremony. If you’re looking to DIY a lot of the details or want to bring in vendors special to you. This venue could be what you’re looking for. The duality of this location is also an amazing feature. The riverfront provides gorgeous views, and a natural feel but you are still close to downtown.

Rhoneymeade, Centrehall, PA

Rhoneymeade is a historic site nestled between Tussey and Nittany mountains about 10 miles outside of State College, PA. This venue provides an artistic setting with an open lawn, brick farmhouse, rustic studio, and an arboretum with sculptures and scenic overlooks. The site is meant to connect art, people, and nature. This site provides an intimate feel for couples looking for a natural but modern venue in central Pennsylvania.The venue has 2 hour time slots with up a 15 person capacity for pop-up weddings.
