What even is vintage anyway?
Vintage first came into use in France as a way to describe a wine’s age, and later as an adjective to describe something older. The word has since been adapted to indicate an object that is at least 20 years old and belonging to a previous, stylistically distinct era. If you’re looking at something that’s over 100 years old, it’s deemed to be an antique.
As for why we tend to like vintage items, it’s essentially a mix of psychology and sustainability. We love to have a connection with history, our heritage and nostalgia for a bygone era, all things vintage items represent. Additionally, by re-using vintage items we create a more sustainable environment.

A jeweler that only carries natural diamonds and gems, Diana Micheals in New Hope, PA may have the ring for you. Pick out your gems with your partner and watch them get set while you wait for an amazing experience. If you’re looking for a ring already crafted, check out their Antique & Estate selection online or in-person. 4. Hand-Me-Gowns - South Jersey and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Located in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area, Hand-Me-Gowns is a consignment bridal shop with a wonderfully punny name dedicated to making your wedding shopping experience the best it can be. The truth is, it’s incredibly hard to find vintage bridal shops in Pennsylvania, or anywhere for that matter. While we’ve given it our best shot, and hope that something on our list has sparked your interest, finding your unique vintage wedding item is heavily reliant on personal inquiry. Check out your local Goodwill or thrift store for cool finds, search an estate sale, or ask a relative about family jewelry. Vintage shopping is really just a mixture of luck and determination.
