Solasta Photography

Solasta Photography was born from my love of the sun, warmth, and capturing pure joy. My name is Caitlin Newmaster, and I truly believe every hour of your wedding day is golden. When I photograph my couples, I bring allll the energy and silly prompts to capture their unique connections and authentic emotions. “Solasta” literally means “of the sun”, and while we might not always (ok, let’s be honest, almost never!) have perfect weather in Pittsburgh, I want you to feel bright, happy, relaxed, vacation vibes all wedding day long – where you have nothing to worry about, the day is everything you want it to be, and it feels like the future is unfolding right in front of you.
I want you to feel like YOU in your wedding photos; I want you to look at each photo as part of the larger story of your day. But ultimately, I want your day to be focused on fun. I use the sun and natural lighting sources (and flash, when needed) to enhance your story but never overshadow you. My couples love chasing the light with me (and sometimes we do quite literally run to chase the sun before it goes down!). Even when there’s no sun to be found, I know how to work the light we do have to create beautiful moments you’ll love forever. My editing style is true color with a touch of boldness and vibrancy; the colors and vibes will be as they were on the day with a pinch of my secret sauce!
