How do you choose a honeymoon destination; we don’t know where to go? If you are unsure of where to go for your honeymoon, that is ok! It is my job to work with my guests in figuring out where would be a great option based upon a few different criteria. I will be able to show you a variety of options and help you narrow them down and pick the most perfect spot for you and your fiance. When do you suggest would be a good time to go on a honeymoon? I always suggest leaving on Monday or Tuesday after your wedding so that you are rested and refreshed and not rushing to get to your flight the next day! How do I know what to budget for? Each destination is different. Take into account that you will most likely need airfare which has increased significantly in the past few years. A starting point for an all-inclusive, week’s honeymoon would be around $2,000 without flight. Depending on your destination, the budget will increase for there. A safe bet for a flight budget would be around $1,500. If you are considering traveling to Europe for your honeymoon or Hawaii, a comfortable starting budget would be around $4,000 before airfare. What does it cost to use a travel agent? Nothing! My services are complimentary. I will work with you to plan a perfect honeymoon and be working with you up through your return home. Do I need a passport to travel? Yes and no. It depends on your destination. Anywhere in the United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands, you do not need a passport. However, beginning May 3, 2023, you will need the Real ID to fly. If you plan to leave the country, you will need to make sure that you have a passport. The name on your passport needs to match your license. If you need to apply for a passport, please do so 4 months prior to your honeymoon. If you currently have a passport, please make sure that it is valid for 6 months after travel.
