On May 26, 2024 Stacey and Nate McCloskey officially tied the knot at Tall Timber Barn in Canadensis, Pennsylvania, giving them the outdoorsy feel that embodies their nature-loving personalities. The day was filled with details that rang true to the couple, including cowboy boots, the woodsy ambiance and even a beer boy who provided the guests with beverages.
The couple and the wedding party got ready at Skytop Lodge, a resort in the Poconos, where they had their first looks, a champagne pop and other fun photos taken. Along with her first look with her dad and brother, Stacey did a first look with the groomsmen, when she “iced” them as a surprise –– giving each of them a Smirnoff Ice to drink.
In their cowboy boots, the wedding party moved to Tall Timber’s Barn, where they took photos and held the ceremony. While the bride wore a Seng Couture dress and pearl-jeweled boots, the bridesmaids wore an assortment of sage green dresses and their own brown cowboy boots. Stacey wore her mother’s jewelry, and got her glam done by Makeup By Herr and Revelations Bridal. For the men, the groom and his groomsmen wore Men’s Wearhouse tuxedos –– the groom also sporting black cowboy boots that match his tux.
Once the ceremony started, the beer boy did a “beer spray” down the aisle and gave the leftover beers to the guests. Keeping the wedding fun and exciting, after the “I do”s the McCloskeys shot off a cannon, giving their ceremony a finale.
“All of that just encompasses how they’re outdoorsy and fun,” said Cortney Torres, the couple’s wedding photographer. “Tall Timber has all the aesthetics with the canoes hanging and deer heads and that fun stuff.”
The couple took photos under a pergola, adorned with crochet curtains and wooden flowers from Sola Wood Flowers.
As for the reception, main dances were in Tall Timber’s main barn where there was a DJ (Make It Rain Entertainment), while dinner was served outside under pavilions with long farmhouse tables. The reception also had a photo booth, Propagate Studio – That’s So Sam Art, where guests took pictures.
The couple had a sparkler exit at the end of their wedding, allowing the guests to wave goodbye and give them best wishes. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
Stacey and Nate’s story started on Bumble, when they matched in 2021. They decided to go on a date, after meeting online, to Mama’s, a restaurant in Hackettstown, New Jersey. Since then, their journey brought them to their wedding day and their newly-wed status. For the couple, their favorite moment during their wedding was Stacey walking down the aisle.
“My advice would be to give yourself enough time to be able to plan the day of your dreams and to take in every moment,” said Stacey. “The day goes by so fast.”
