October 12, 2024 at 9:08 amI wish I would’ve done my hair and makeup myself. Linda knowingly sent an obviously inexperienced stylist to do my hair and makeup, as well as my mother and sister’s hair the day of my wedding, in addition to another makeup artist and hair stylist. The other two artists were great. Unfortunately mine was not. Though very kind, very inexperienced. Linda knew this, which was made apparent when she was unhappy and aggressively trying to fix my hair and give pointers during my second trial because I hated the first and thought a different hairstyle may be easier for the artist to achieve. Part of my wedding day was ruined because of this artist’s lack of experience. I asked multiple times to not use a ton of product or to tease my hair a lot because my hair holds curl really well. She completely ignored my requests. I spent an hour after getting HMU with my PHOTOGRAPHER and BRIDESMAIDS brushing out and re-curling my hair because it was a MATTED MESS. My sister had to use a makeup brush to try to brush the white powder out of my hair because she had used so much product it was visible to the naked eye. My eye makeup was also much darker than the makeup I liked from the trial and my false lashes would not stay on, which is clearly visible in the wedding pictures I spent thousands of dollars on. My hair never was what I wanted and I spent the day I was supposed to feel the most beautiful completely self conscious. Not only that, but my sister and mother’s hair were also horrendous and my sister’s couldn’t be fixed. I ended up being late for pictures and my photographers were rushed. I reached out to Linda after and she offered essentially a partial refund for hair that I never actually received after she stopped communicating with me. I then received a text from one of the other stylists asking when I was going to pay her. I paid Linda in full up front. I was not responsible for posting this stylist. Turns out Linda had deleted her website and all socials and stopped communicating with the artists after not posing them. Last I heard, the woman that reached out to me eventually got paid because she threatened to take Linda to court, but that the other artists hadn’t been paid. I left a review on The Knot, but it was deleted when she removed her page from the site. Then she made a new website and popped up on other wedding sites that didn’t have negative reviews about her. Shady. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend

November 15, 2024 at 3:08 pmDo not book her. She has had issues with not paying people who work for her. When I went to cancel my services, she never refunded me and only responded to one email. Stay far away.

I got married in June of 2024 and had a makeup trial with Emily before the wedding. The trial was amazing, and Emily was the sweetest. However, the day before my wedding, the salon owner, Linda Bonilla, emailed me to say my makeup artist had a family emergency and that she would be sending another makeup artist, Karla. My makeup turned out great (thank you, Karla), but I could tell Karla was very stressed since she had to come on such short notice and had another wedding to attend after mine. Luckily, it was just my mom and me getting our makeup done.
The next morning, I received a message from my original makeup artist (Emily) saying that Linda had not paid her for two weddings or the trial we had together. She also lied about my makeup artist having a family emergency. Emily had wanted to come to my wedding to do my makeup, but when she asked Linda for payment for the other weddings, Linda refused to give her my venue location. Apparently, Linda owes a lot of money to her staff, and rightfully, many of them are quitting. As this situation gained attention on social media and through reviews on The Knot, Linda deleted her business’s Facebook, Instagram, and website. I tried calling the salon’s previous phone number, but it was no longer in service. She now has a new website up through Square.
If you’re considering booking Linda and Co., I would strongly suggest finding someone else. You don’t deserve the stress on your special day, and this woman has caused significant stress not only to brides but also to the makeup artists she employs. This review was originally posted on The Knot, but since she deleted her business from there, I wanted to bring attention to it here since she’s now advertising on Zola and PA Wedding Guide.
